KASINDA Faase

Kasinda Faase, a 24-year-old emerging musician of Nigerian and Dutch heritage, is celebrated for her versatility across contemporary, jazz, and classical genres. A multi-instrumentalist, she completed her Bachelor of Music in flute performance at the Melbourne Conservatorium of Music in 2024 and is now pursuing honors in ethnomusicology, specializing in West African music. Despite joining Melbourne’s live music scene post-pandemic, Kasinda has quickly gained recognition as a skilled arranger and performer.

Highlights include Toronto performance with Kee’ahn, Australian tours with Ella Thompson and Heavy Amber, performances with Ghanaian highlife legend Ebo Taylor and The Public Opinion Afro Orchestra at the Melbourne International Jazz Festival, and appearances with Zamrock’s WITCH at Golden Plains. She has also arranged for Davey Lane (You Am I) and performed at Her Majesty’s Theatre Ballarat.

Currently, Kasinda performs with Afrospace Jazz Industry, Owelu Dreamhouse, The Public Opinion Afro Orchestra, Ella Thompson.
