Kasinda This Life- EP

This Life- Kasinda’s debut EP co-produced with George Kuntu Blankson (SlimDrumz), platforms themes of freedom, justice and cultural connection, showcasing our shared humanity and experiences across seas and continents. The music was inspired through Kasinda’s three journeys to Ghana and Nigeria throughout 2024 and 2025 where she sought to explore her own Nigerian heritage and contemplated the themes which bind people despite their differences. Recorded across Accra (Ghana) and Melbourne (Naarm, Australia), the recording features many talented musicians across Afrobeat, reggae, dub and jazz genres including Immy Owusu, Ben Mckone (London), members from Surprise Chef, Ansong Jnr (GH) and more. This Life serves as a reminder that we as a collective create the world we live and are not merely observers. This Life is out June 2026 via Northside Records.

Agaracha Orchestra

A diverse group of ten people, including children, posing in front of a commercial building with large glass windows and a dumpster on the sidewalk. The group appears happy, with several smiling at the camera.
A woman smiling, wearing a leopard print headband, a light purple turtleneck sweater, and patterned pants, standing in front of a colorful graffiti wall.

Kasinda Faase’s Agaracha Orchestra’s debut album, Birth of the Black Baroque, is a fusion of her Nigerian and Dutch heritage, a musical manifestation of the biracial experience. Conceptually, "Agaracha" (meaning ‘to come home’ in Igbo, Kasinda’s tribe) explores cultural contrasts, unexpected synergies, and the dynamic interplay between baroque and West African musical traditions. The album features an eight-piece ensemble combining classical strings, woodwinds, and  percussion, blending classical harmonies with West African rhythms. through classical instrumentation, creating a unique and innovative sound.

This recording project unites eight accomplished musicians across classical, African, and jazz genres, fostering a unique cross-disciplinary collaboration that expands audiences for each style. The ensemble includes Kasinda (flute, tenor sax, vocals), Zvi Belling (bass), Lachlan Dent (cello), Fem Belling (violin), Nic Ryan Glenie (trumpet), Nui Moon (percussion), and others (see bios).

AFROSPACE INTERCHANGE was founded by Zvi , Brian and Pat in memory of pianist Howard Belling , their father, best friend and teacher respectively. What started as a small band to explore the rich idiom of South African Jazz that was so central to Howard's life, has now grown into a vibrant community, celebrating this genre with joy, energy and innovation. The house band has grown to include guitarist Leon Stenning (UK), flautist Kasinda Faase, trumpeter Nic Ryan-Glenie and tenor saxophonist Ron Romero, as well as regular guest vocalist/violinist Fem Belling. All of the band's members contribute originals to the band's repertoire and in 2024, they recorded two albums at Rolling Stock Recording Rooms. The first of these, 'Old Plates, is due as an LP release on the Rear Ear Records label in May 2025, featuring guests such as Sandile Gotswana (South Africa/UK), Flora Carbo, Callum Mintzis and Andrew Saragossi. The band has already launched two pre-release tracks from the album on Bandcamp and is also featured on 'Tiny But Wild', a compilation of some of the leading Australian contemporary improvising ensembles, produced by The Australian Jazz Museum.
