Kasinda Faase’s Agaracha Orchestra’s debut album, Birth of the Black Baroque, is a fusion of her Nigerian and Dutch heritage, a musical manifestation of the biracial experience. Conceptually, "Agaracha" (meaning ‘to come home’ in Igbo, Kasinda’s tribe) explores cultural contrasts, unexpected synergies, and the dynamic interplay between baroque and West African musical traditions. The album features an eight-piece ensemble combining classical strings, woodwinds, and  percussion, blending classical harmonies with West African rhythms. through classical instrumentation, creating a unique and innovative sound.

This recording project unites eight accomplished musicians across classical, African, and jazz genres, fostering a unique cross-disciplinary collaboration that expands audiences for each style. The ensemble includes Kasinda (flute, tenor sax, vocals), Zvi Belling (bass), Lachlan Dent (cello), Fem Belling (violin), Nic Ryan Glenie (trumpet), Nui Moon (percussion), and others (see bios).
